What does our testimony say about us? Does it show our triumphs, or does it showcase our failures? The testimony that we have allows us to speak into the lives of other Christians, as well as, non-believers. It is our display of the love and mercy of God's amazing grace. We shouldn't be ashamed or scared by our pasts, nor afraid of the possibility of sharing our experiences. He has changed our lives and He wants us to share with others. Whether it's in the break room at work or while sipping on a cup of coffee at your local barista. The location doesn't matter, but the impact that those moments can have in our lives and the lives of others has long lasting implications. Tell others what amazing things God is doing in your life.
Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.
If you feel shaken or aren't sure what to do next of what I've asked, then I encourage you to take out a pen and draw a line down the middle of a blank sheet of paper. One side will be for good and bad based on your take on the situation. Pick important dates (good and bad) or years that you can remember and start jotting them down. Maybe there were some major pitfalls during the years your were in school, so write those down. Put everything that comes to mind down on the page. When you're done look through all those moments and start looking for Ebenezer stones that God has left in your life. Whether the situations were bad or good I will tell you that you will see God working in your life, which should show you a little confidence about the plans He has for you.
The story of our life needs to be told. Our testimony is important and God wants us to tell it because it shows his works in us. How can you see where your going unless you know where you've been and how you go there. Life is a puzzle and without all the pieces put together we can't hope to see the full picture.
One of my life verses is from Jeremiah where God tells us that He will make our way when we are with Him. It provides a heaping level of encouragement to my day to know that He is always looking out for me.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
